ACCRA, GHANA — Following its much awaited return to the physical stage, the TEDxAccra team has officially announced the expansion of its platform with two upcoming landmark gatherings: TEDxAccraWomen and TEDxAccra Salon.
The announcement comes on the heels of the highly successful TEDxAccra flagship event, which brought together hundreds of visionaries, innovators, and changemakers at the University of Ghana. Following a period of hiatus and digital transitions, the main stage returned to vibrant life, proving that the appetite for transformative ideas across West Africa is stronger than ever.
Building directly on this momentum, the team is expanding the conversational ecosystem in Accra to foster deeper, specialized dialogues throughout the year.
Expanding the Platform: TEDxAccraWomen & TEDxAccra Salon
While the flagship event offers a broad cross-disciplinary platform, these new additions are designed to create focused spaces for specific conversations and continuous engagement.
TedxAccra Women will highlight female leadership across Africa and the diaspora. A dedicated full-day conference featuring talks, workshops, and artistic performances designed to amplify women driving systemic change.
TEDxAccra Salon is more an intimate, action-oriented gathering centered around targeted, single-topic issues facing urban, environmental, and socio-economic systems. Experience short-form talks combined with moderated roundtable debates and active audience engagement, held in smaller, curated spaces.
Driving Continuous Impact Beyond the Main Stage
For the organizers, the decision to launch these two dedicated formats marks a shift from hosting a single annual flagship event toward sustaining a continuous, year-round platform for local impact.
